About Us

Who we are

We're a bunch of friends who share two passions that probably took over our lives: gaming and tech. We met years ago somewhere between Discord voice chats, late-night co-op sessions, and way too many failed 50/50s. At some point, we realized we were spending more time digging through clunky wikis for builds than actually playing the game.

So we did what any self-respecting group of nerds would do: we built our own site.

Why we created Genshin Codex

Honestly? We were tired of the state of Genshin resources online. Most sites are bloated with ads, outdated info, and designs that feel like they haven't been touched since the game launched. We knew we could do better — something fast, clean, and actually enjoyable to use.

Genshin Codex started with one goal: to build the best Genshin Impact database and toolkit out there. A place we'd actually want to bookmark ourselves — up-to-date, no clutter, no nonsense.

What you'll find here

Everything you need to up your Genshin game, no fluff:

• Updated builds for every character with recommended weapons, artifacts, and team comps
• Tier List kept current with each patch's meta
• Calculators to plan your resources: pity, resin, primogems, ascension materials...
• Daily calendar showing which farming materials are available each day
• Full data on characters, weapons, and artifacts in multiple languages

How we do it

Everything here is handcrafted. No generic templates, no auto-generated filler. Every build recommendation, every calculator, every page — we designed and coded it ourselves. We love web development just as much as we love Genshin, and it shows.

The site is built with SvelteKit, deployed on Vercel, and optimized to load fast even on your grandma's old phone. The code is ours, the data is public, and the coffee keeping us awake comes from capsules (nobody's perfect).

For the community

Genshin Codex is and will always be completely free. No paywalls, no subscriptions, no locked content. We do this because it's fun and because the Genshin community deserves proper tools that actually work.

If you like what we're doing, the best thing you can do is use it, share it with your friends, and tell us what we can improve. At the end of the day, we built this for you (and a little bit for ourselves — we won't lie).
